Lose the gaming functionality, focus on the video (and perhaps music), and Microsoft might have a way into people's living rooms who might otherwise dismiss the Xbox. That's where Microsoft's opportunity lies. It does more the primary purpose still seems game-oriented, and it sure costs more. Turn your console on and off, launch games and apps, play and pause videos, and more, all from any Google Assistant-enabled device or Google Home and Assistant apps on iOS and Android.
